The Game

Max Domi and Alex Galchenyuk will play their former teams for the first time when the Montreal Canadiens visit the Arizona Coyotes at Gila River Arena on Thursday.

Domi, a Canadiens forward, and Galchenyuk, a Coyotes forward, were traded for each other June 15. Domi, who played three seasons in Arizona, has 33 points (14 goals, 19 assists) in 35 games this season. Galchenyuk has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 23 games after spending his first six NHL seasons with Montreal.

Goalie Carey Price, who is one win from 300 in the NHL, will start. Montreal has lost two straight after going 5-1-0 in its previous six games.

The Coyotes have lost six of seven (1-6-0) and are 1-6-1 in their past eight home games.

Players to watch

Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher scored a power-play goal against the Avalanche and has four goals in his past eight games.

Coyotes forward Clayton Keller has nine points (two goals, seven assists) in his past 10 games. Keller had five points (one goal, four assists) in two games against the Canadiens last season.

They said it

“It’ll be fun. I’m really looking forward to this experience. I miss it here, for sure. But that being said, I’m happy with how everything ended up, obviously. I have a lot of good memories here.”— Canadiens forward Max Domi

“I’m not going to lie and say it’s just another day and another game. I have so many friends on the other team. Playing [against my former team] for the first time, it’s always a little bit different. I spent six years in Montreal. At the same time, it’s a really big game for us as a team and we’ve got to get back to our winning ways.”— Coyotes forward Alex Galchenyuk
